Aims & Scope of Sambeda Sambeekshyana

Sambeda Sambeekshyana is a quarterly e-magazine dedicated to the study and exploration of tribal life, literature, and culture. It serves as a critical platform for original research and academic discourse on various aspects of tribal communities. The magazine strictly adheres to an analytical and research-based approach, excluding creative literary forms such as stories, poetry, novels, translations, and drama.

Scope:

  1. Tribal Research & Studies – Analytical and research-based articles on tribal society, traditions, languages, folklore, and historical perspectives.

  2. Tribal Book Reviews – Critical evaluations of books related to tribal literature, history, and cultural studies.

  3. Interviews & Discussions – In-depth conversations with tribal researchers, folklore experts, and scholars engaged in indigenous studies.

  4. Tribal Myth & Oral Narratives – Documented and analyzed tribal myths, legends, and oral traditions that contribute to the understanding of tribal epistemology and belief systems.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Articles must be original and unpublished elsewhere.

  • Submissions should be in Unicode font (Odia or Alchiki script) and Microsoft Word format.

  • The font must follow these specifications:

    • Odia Kalinga script for Odia articles.

    • Times New Roman for English content.

    • Title: 16pt bold

    • Author Name: 13pt bold

    • Address: 11pt

    • Main Content: 12pt (subheadings in 12pt bold)

Editorial Policy:

  • The magazine is non-remunerative and follows a rigorous review process before publication.

  • Since it is a quarterly publication, contributors must wait up to six months post-submission.

  • During the review period, the article must not be submitted elsewhere.

  • A consent letter from the author permitting publication is mandatory.
